GH Smart Privacy Policy

Green House Co., Ltd., its affiliated companies, and its subsidiaries
(hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Company” or “Green House”) have
been working to protect the privacy of their customers (hereinafter referred to
as “customers” or “you”). This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this
Policy”) explains the Company’s undertakings on information privacy in relation
to the handling of personal data that accrues as a result of the personal use
of the following services, products, and related mobile applications
(hereinafter collectively referred to as “Products”) by customers.
• GH Smart Mobile Application
In this Privacy Policy, “personal data” refers to the information that
can be used on its own or in combination with other information to identify an individual.
“Smart devices” refers to computer devices (such as smart home appliances and
smart wearable devices) that are equipped with interfaces and that can transmit
data via wireless networks. An “app” refers to a mobile application developed
by Green House Co., Ltd., with the aim to provide end users with a function to
connect to the remote control of a smart device and the IoT platform.
Personal Data to be Collected by the Company
In order to receive the services of the Company, you will need to
provide us with your personal data that is necessary for the provision of the services.
If you do not provide us with such personal data, the Company may not be able
to provide our Products or services.
1. Voluntarily provided information
• Account or profile data: When you register an account, your detailed
contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, username,
and login authentication information may be collected. When the Products of the
Company interact with the Company, your information (such as your nickname,
profile image, country code, language setting, and time zone information) may
be collected from your account.
• Feedback: When you use the feedback function and proposal function for
the Products of the Company, your email address, mobile phone number, and
feedback contents will be collected so that the problems will be handled, and
device failure will be solved on a timely basis.
2. Automatically Collected Information
• Device information: While you use the Products of the Company, the
device information (such as MAC address, IP address, wireless connection
information, the type and version of the operating system, the version of the
application, push notification identifier, logfile, and mobile network
information of your device) will be collected automatically.
• Usage data: While you use the website and service, some data on the
use of the website and service (such as the accesses, clicks, downloads, and sent
or received messages) will be collected automatically.
• Log information: When you use an app of the Company, the system and
abnormal log may be uploaded.
• Location information: The Company may, when providing its specific Products
or services, collect real-time geolocation information.
3. Information related to Smart Devices
• Basic information on smart devices: When you connect your smart device
with the Products or services of the Company, basic information on the smart
device (such as the device name, device ID, online status, activation time,
firmware version, and upgrade information) may be collected.
• Information
reported from smart devices: Depending on the smart device used to connect to
the Products or services of the Company, the Company may collect the information
that is reported from your smart device.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
The purposes of processing information of our customers are as follows:
• Providing Products and services: The Company provides Products and
services requested or purchased by customers by processing information from their
accounts, profile data, device information, usage status data, location information,
and information related to their smart devices.
• Improving Products and services: The Company guarantees the functions
and safety of its Products by processing the customers’ device information,
usage data, location information, and information related to their smart devices;
developing and improving its Products and services; analyzing its operational
efficiency; and preventing and tracking any fraudulent or inappropriate usage.
• General business contacts: The Company processes its customers’
personal data and then transmits its important information regarding the change
of its services, terms of use, conditions, policies, and other management
information to the customers. The customers may not refuse to receive such
information because it is potentially important to them.
• Marketing-related notices: The Company may provide its marketing and
promotional materials on its Products and services to its customers after
processing their personal data. In such cases, each email that the Company send
to its customers contains a description to the effect that the Company will
discontinue sending the same type of email to customers at their request. Also,
the Company may use and manage its customers’ personal data when they consent
to join any promotion events, such as a prize competitions and contests.
• Customization: The Company may process its customers’ accounts,
profile data, usage data, and device information to customize its Products and
to provide services appropriate for the customers by placing information or advertisements
on its Products. Also, the Company may ask customers to cooperate with any
questionnaire regarding their use of the Products.
• Legal compliance: The Company may process your personal data in the case
of the following because it is recognized to be necessary or appropriate: (a) when
abiding by the applicable laws and regulations; (b) when following legal
procedures; (c) when responding to a request from the public or governmental
authority; (d) when the processing is necessary to protect the life, body, or
property of a person and it is difficult to obtain consent from you; or (e) when
the processing is particularly necessary to improve public health or to promote
healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain consent from you.
When there is any change to the purposes of processing personal data of
customers, the Company shall notify the same, as well as the option that the
customers have in relation to their personal data via email, or by posting on
the website of the Company. If the change to the purposes is within the scope
that is reasonably considered to be relevant to the original purposes, the
changed purposes shall become the purposes of processing the customers’
personal data.
Sharers of Personal Data
When Green House shares your personal data with a third party, it will
notify you without exception. The Company may share your personal data with any
of the following parties.
• The Company shares the information with a third-party service provider
who performs specific business-related functions (such as website hosting, data
analysis, payment and credit card processing, infrastructure development, IT
service, customer support service, email delivery service, and other similar
services) so that they may provide their services to the Company.
• The Company shares the information with its business partners, such as
its client who directly or indirectly provides a network or a system that is necessary
for accessing or using a smart device and the websites and services of
the Company.
• In the event of merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, resale, or
disposition of the Company’s business, asset, or shares in whole or in part,
the Company will provide the information to its affiliated company or a third
party (including but not limited to a case of bankruptcy or other similar
proceedings). In such a case, the Company will make a notification via email or
by posting on its website as to the change of ownership, as well as the new
method of using personal data that differs from the former method and the
option that you will have on your personal data.
• When the sharing is considered to be necessary or appropriate
(including the cases described below): (a) when abiding by the applicable laws
and regulations; (b) when following legal procedures; (c) when responding to
requests from the public or governmental authority, including those public and
governmental institutions of countries other than the country of your residence;
(d) when the sharing is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a
person, and it is difficult to obtain consent from you; or (e) when the sharing
is particularly necessary to improve public health or to promote healthy
development of children, and it is difficult to obtain consent from you.
• To any of the subsidiaries or affiliated companies of the group
companies of the Company when they perform normal business activities
The Company will not share your personal data with any third party other
than the above unless you have provided us with your consent.
Customers’ Rights on Personal Data
The Company manages your personal data while respecting your rights. You
may exercise either of your rights as explained below:

When you make a request via email, please specify how you wish to make a
change (i.e., you wish that your personal data will be deleted from the
Company’s database or wish that other certain restrictions will be added to
usage of your personal data). For security reasons, the Company may need to confirm
your identity before responding to your request.

• A request to access your personal data
• A request to correct inaccuracies or deficiencies in your personal
data
• A request to delete your personal data
• A request to add temporary or permanent restrictions on the whole or
partial processing of your personal data
• When the Company processes your personal data based on a consent or
agreement and the processing process of the Company is automated, a request to
transmit your personal data to you or a third party
• When your personal data is used based on a consent or justifiable
reason, a request to withdraw the consent or refuse the utilization

Security
The Company protects the integrity and safety of your personal data
through the use of rational, physical, operational, and technical protective
measures in terms of business practices. Green House provides various security strategies
in order to effectively ensure the data security of the users and devices. With
regard to the device access, Green House ensures data separation, access authentication,
and approval application through the use of its unique algorithm. With regard
to data communication, a communication that uses security algorithms and
encrypted protocol and a commercial-grade information encryption transmission that
uses dynamic key are supported. With regard to data processing, rigorous data
filtering and verification, as well as thorough data audits, are applied. With
regard to data retention, all the confidential information of users is
encrypted so that it will be safely retained. When there is any reason to
believe that the communication between you and the Company is not safe (when
you believe that the security of your account is breached), please contact us

Data Retention Period
The Company processes your personal data within a minimum time frame
that is necessary for the purposes indicated in this Policy; provided, however,
that this shall not apply where the data is required to be retained for a
longer period of time by any specific legal requirement. The Company properly
determines how long it will retain your personal data, depending on its amount,
nature, and the degree of confidentiality. Upon expiration of such retention
period, the Company will delete your personal data. If the Company is unable to
do so for technical reasons, it will take the appropriate precautions to
prevent your personal data from being used.
Change to the Policy
The Company may change this Policy in order to reflect any change in our
initiatives related to information issues. When we make a significant change,
we will notify you of the same via email (to the email address specified in your
account information) or by posting a notice on the mobile application before
the effectuation of the change. We recommend that you review this page on a
