STATEMENT CONCERNING DATA PROTECTION
WITH RESPECT TO DEVICES CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET AND RELATED APP

(ATAG Nederland and ATAG Belgium also referred to hereinafter as: ‘ATAG Benelux’)
General
This statement concerning data protection with respect to devices of the ETNA brand connected to the Internet is available to all users of this system on www.etna.nl and www.etna.be, and can also be inspected from the App menu. A General Privacy Statement on how we handle personal data can also be found on the afore-mentioned websites.
We reserve the right to amend this statement unilaterally. If we do so, the
data subjects will be notified by means of a ‘push’ message. This can be the
case if the functionality of the App is extended for instance, or in the event of amended legislation.
Installing the App is not necessary for using and controlling the devices. This statement will apply exclusively if the App is installed.
Which personal data is collected by us?
By registering for the App you give us your consent to process your personal data, with due observance of the content of this document. To register for the App, only your username (email address) is required.
Via the App menu, you can indicate if you want to receive advertisements, tips and/or user messages from us.
We only collect and edit personal data that is relevant for the functioning of the devices or the functioning of the App:
A.For
creating an account, we register the following data:
-(User)name (email address) and login data;
-Password with respect to access to the App.
B.With respect to the use, we register your login name, any completed profile and contact data, country code, time zone, and language choice.
C.During the use, the following data is registered:
-The home network it is connected with, such as the MAC address, IP address, name of the Wi-Fi network, and version numbers of the used software;
-Location information;
-Basic information about the device, such as the device name, device ID, usage duration, firmware, and updates/upgrades.
How do we use your data?
The compulsory data we obtain from you is only processed in order to:
-Obtain relevant information about your device if it does not function or if it does
not function properly;
-Give you information about the use of the device.
Use in compliance with the law
Your personal data is used in compliance with the law with respect to processing personal data. In exceptional cases, we may be required to share information with the authorities.
Who do we share your data with?
The data we collect with respect to the purposes mentioned above can be shared with:
-One of our group companies or ICT service providers (e.g. information necessary for rendering IT support to the platform);
-Contract partners that can be engaged with respect to maintenance or repair of your device;
on the understanding that this takes place under strict secrecy.
No data is exported to countries outside the European Union
The personal data you provide is stored and processed in countries that are part of the European Community.
Personal data is not sent to, or shared with, partners that are established in non-European countries.
Analysing and sharing data collections and/or anonymised information
Anonymised personal data collections and personal data collections that have been aggregated at a sufficiently high level, can be used and/or shared for research purposes. For instance, we can publish information that shows trends in the general use of our devices. Such publication, however, will always take place in a way that it cannot be traced to an individual.
How long do we retain your personal data?
We retain your personal data that we have obtained by your registering to, and use of, the App, for as long as you give us your permission for this. If you want to terminate your permission, you can do so via the App menu or by sending an email to compliance@atagbenelux.com. If we are required to retain your personal data pursuant to legislation or regulations, we will do so during the legally compulsory retention term.
If we do not use your personal data any longer, we will destroy, delete, anonymise, or pseudonymise them.
Data subjects’ rights
Every individual whose personal data we obtain, has several rights that can be invoked, including:
-The right of inspection, to find out which data we register and how we process it;
-In certain cases, the right of revoking your consent to processing your personal
data. However, we may have legitimate reasons to continue processing your personal data. In any case, you will be informed about the status of your request;
-The right of correction of the stored personal data about you and of supplementing it if it is incomplete;
-The right of being forgotten;
-Under certain circumstances, the right of opposing the processing of your personal data and asking us to terminate the processing of your data.

Switching off the Internet connection
The App includes the possibility of verifying the device status.
This functionality indicates whether or not the device is connected to the Internet. Disconnection from the Internet can be effected via the App and via the device
(see the help section in the App and/or the user manual).
Which security measures have we taken?
We have taken proper technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.
