1. The Data You Voluntarily Provide to Us
(1) Registered Account Data: When you register for our account, we collect your account name and contact data, including your email address, username, and login credentials. During your interaction with our product, we will further collect nickname, country code, language preference, or time zone data from your account.
(2) User feedback: When you submit feedback and suggestions about our Products and Services to us, we will collect the email address, phone number, and feedback content (added pictures or videos) you fill in, as well as the problem log you submit. The data will be used to promptly handle your application issues and Smart Devices related failures for us.
(3) Data collected based on the additional features provided: In order to provide you with more convenient and high-quality Products and Services, and to enhance your experience, we will collect and use your personal data in the following additional services provided to you. If you do not provide these data, it will not affect your use of the basic services of the Joyoung Link App, but you will not be able to obtain the user experience brought by these additional services. These additional services include:
a. Additional services based on location data: When you authorize the location function of your mobile device through the system and use location-based services, we will collect and use your location data for you to use the Joyoung Link App to connect with your Smart Devices. The reason for obtaining location permission in "Add Device" (only for Android system): When entering "Add Device", we need to perform Bluetooth scanning based on the function of searching for nearby devices. In the process, we need this permission to perform Bluetooth communication, and because Bluetooth scanning requires collecting your location data, we need you to turn on Bluetooth and apply for location to add the device. Otherwise, your "Device Add" function will not be able to be implemented.
When you use our specific products or services (weather services/home management), based on your consent, we will collect real-time accurate or non-accurate geolocation data about you.
You may disable the collection and use of your location data by changing your mobile device settings: "Me - Settings - Privacy Permission Settings - Switch on/off Location"), upon which we will cease to collect and use your location data.
b. Additional services based on camera/camcorder: You can use this function to scan codes to add your purchased device and shoot videos after enabling camera/camcorder permissions. Please be aware that even if you have agreed to enable camera/camcorder permissions, we will only obtain data when you actively scan the code or use the camera/camcorder for shooting. The scanning function will collect data from the light sensor and determine whether to activate the flash function based on the data from the light sensor.
You may opt-out the using of camera permission: "Me - Settings - Privacy Permission Settings - Switch on/off Camera".
c. Additional services for accessing and uploading images/videos based on photo album (image library/video library): You can use this function to upload your photos/images/videos after enabling photo album permissions, in order to provide proof of device usage issues. When you report device usage issues, we will locate your problem through the photos/images you upload.
You may opt-out the using of photo album permission: "Me - Settings - Privacy Permission Settings - Switch on/off Photo Album".
d. Additional services based on storage permission (Android): We request to obtain this permission from you in order to ensure the stable operation of the App. After you grant us the permission to read/write to your device's storage, we will read or write necessary data such as images, files, and crash log data from or to your device's storage space to provide you with the ability to publish information or record crash log data locally.
You may opt-out the using of storage permission: "Me - Settings - Privacy Permission Settings - Switch on/off Storage".
e. Additional services based on message notification permission: We apply for this permission from you in order to push notifications about Products and Services to you, especially when you purchase relevant services and need to send you alerts so that you can capture real-time status.
You may opt-out the using of message notification permission: "Me - Message Center - Settings - Switch on/off Notifications".
f. Additional services based on Bluetooth technology: After enabling Bluetooth permission, you can use Bluetooth functions, including device control, device status acquisition, device discovery, and device networking. In these functions, we will communicate with terminal devices through Bluetooth. Please be aware that even if you have agreed to enable Bluetooth permission, we will only use Bluetooth for communication in these scenarios: displaying device status on the homepage and device panel; Control devices on the homepage and device panel; On the homepage, add device page for discovering devices and device distribution network.
You may opt-out the using of Bluetooth: "Me - Settings - Privacy Permission Settings - Switch on/off Bluetooth permission".
g. Additional services based on binding to notification listener service permission (Android): We apply for this permission from you, with the purpose of synchronously sending App messages to your Smart Devices for display by listening to App notification bar messages after Smart Devices connect to the App.
You may opt-out the using of notification listener service permission: "Device Panel - Settings - Message Push - Enable/Disable Permissions (default disabled)".
You understand and agree that the above additional services require you to enable access to your location data (geographic location), camcorder (camera), photo album (image library), internal and external storage, message notifications, Bluetooth technology, etc. on your device to collect and use the data involved in these permissions. You can view the status of the above permissions item by item in your device settings and decide whether to turn them on or off on your own.
Please note that by granting any permission, you authorize us to collect and use relevant personal data to provide you with corresponding services. Once you close any permission, it means that you have cancelled the authorization. We will no longer continue to collect and use relevant personal data based on the corresponding permission, nor will we be able to provide you with the services corresponding to that permission. However, your decision to disable permissions will not affect the data collection and use previously conducted based on your authorization.
